Plein Air Event at Wallisch Homestead

The Friends of Wallisch are happy to announce a new event in their commitment to the arts.

A Plein Air event will be held Sept 17th from 10am and last into the afternoon as long as artists are inspired to continue creating. (Rain Date Sept 18th.)

Plein Air painting is the act of capturing the elusive light and shadows in the constant changing great outdoors.

At least 10 artists have committed and will ascend on the Wallisch Homestead with easels, canvas, brushes and paints to paint in “the moment”. A watercolor painting usually takes about an hour or two to complete.

All artists with Plein Air experience are encouraged to attend. The event is open to all artists who will also be able to show their works for sale at the event.

The site will be open to the public to enjoy the process and perhaps support our wonderful area artists. A portion of the sales proceeds will benefit The Friends of Wallisch Homestead.

Shop Local Card Member Info Review Due

Dear members,
As you may know, the chamber of commerce has teamed up with the HEAT group to develop a shop local program. We are planning to release the program including a mass distribution of the shop local cards at ALF. In order for us to proceed we will need a few things from our members.
1. Please take a look at your listing in the chamber directory and let us know if anything needs correction.
2. The program will allow you to advertise any special discount on merchandise and/or services. You can provide savings by advertising a service you offer for free such as “Free retirement planning evaluation” You are not obligated to offer anything, it is totally up to you as to what you decide to offer, and your business can still be listed.
3. This program is not mandatory. If you wish to opt out and not be listed in the program, Please inform us.
4. Notifications must be received by Tuesday September 15th 2015 to info@westmilford.com
Thank You for your cooperation. We also look forward to seeing everyone at the September meeting at The Chelsea.
If you know of another member that does not use email or has trouble receiving our emails, please forward this information to them.
